Pets & Your Property

So the Renters Rights Act means that Landlords can no longer discriminate against pet owners - you now have to have a legitimate reason to refuse pets.

This is not a problem AS LONG as you choose the right tenant! I have been managing property now for 15 years and I have only ever had one problem with a pet in a property (and in honesty that wasn't really a big problem). A small puppy chewed the corner of the lino in the porch and so when the tenant moved out they readily agreed to deduct the cost of replacing the lino from their deposit, Easily sorted!!

Choosing the right tenant is key. Someone who will look after the property like it's their own. Someone responsible. Someone who pays their bills on time, every time. I am so blessed to have so many of these types of people in the properties which I manage.

As I don't employ staff, I do ALL of the viewings myself. This means that my tenants are hand picked by me and then discussed with you, as the landlord of the property. Together we can make the right decision - one which protects your home and secures your income for many years to come.
